Osteoarthritis
KKT chiropractic treatment utilizes advanced medical technology to treat spine, back, and neck pain.
KKT focuses on a scientific approach to treating back, neck, and joint pain as well as other spine-related issues such as disc pain and sciatica. KKT not only treats the pain, but also identifies and treats the root of the issue. KKT medical treatment is designed to treat and realign the spine without pain or surgery with the goal of returning the body to its natural state. KKT Chiropractic Center treatment uses highly advanced technology that uses sound waves to relieve pain and promote the health of the spinal discs, ligaments, and muscles of the spine.
Osteoarthritis, also called “degenerative joint disease” (ankylosing spondylitis), is the most common type of arthritis. It occurs when the cartilage between joints begins to wear away, as cartilage plays an important role in lining the space between joints.
Osteoarthritis can affect any joint in the body but is known to affect joints such as the spine, hands, hips and knees, and can affect several other joints. Although most people consider osteoarthritis to be inevitable as the average human lifespan increases, with proper clinical care and treatment at KKT, we may be able to control or completely cure the extent to which the disease affects the joints.
The increase in the average human lifespan is one of the factors that has helped make osteoarthritis more common than ever before. Maintaining a well-balanced body will help facilitate mobility and contribute to slowing down or recovering from symptoms.
Signs to watch out for
- Unpleasant sensation when moving the head, neck or joints
- Limits movement or stiffness in the neck and lower back
- A general feeling of stiffness
- Stiffness in the morning, before a hot bath or any movement
- General loss of flexibility
- Neck and back pain as well as other joints for more than 6 weeks
- A general feeling of being short in height
Why is more attention being paid to spinal osteoarthritis?
Unlike any other area of the human body, the spine, when affected by osteoarthritis or any other disease, has a significant impact on our quality of life, due to the close relationship between the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) and the spine.
Men are more likely to develop the disease before the age of 45 and after the age of 55, the incidence is higher in women. A recent study revealed that 10% of children under the age of 10 suffer from arthritis. Because the disease is age-specific, research and clinical studies such as those conducted by the KKT Center help to appreciate the importance of early detection and treatment to minimize the impact of lifelong limitations as a result of the disease.
