What is a rotator cuff?
Shoulder | Sports Injuries | Shoulder Surgery
The rotator cuff is made up of a group of muscles and ligaments in the shoulder area. These muscles and ligaments connect the upper arm bone to the scapula. It also helps the ball of the joint on the upper arm stay in place in the shoulder socket. Shoulder injuries can occur suddenly or be associated with specific injuries such as a fall, or they can gradually worsen over time and worsen with movement of muscles, joints or nerves. Rotator cuff injuries often occur as a result of minor injuries caused by repetitive motion in occupational or athletic activities. that relies on moving the arm above the level of the head.
